My school doesn't have big rolls of paper... so maybe I can befriend a butcher or something. :)

I also need to get some ideas for indoor recess. It is always so chaotic!!

Magnificent Multiagers!Jillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03814613933358631096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4585617448539291782.post-46417185681504178412011-05-28T12:02:07.933-05:002011-05-28T12:02:07.933-05:00Laura, great list!

As we started a new unit in social studies, I would place a correlating word search, journal page, mini-reader, etc. in each file. When the children finished something early, I'd tell them to work from their files! I also had a few students (kindergarten) reading at above 2nd grade levels; the file system allowed me to include relevant activities for them, without drawing attention to their work levels.

You have an interesting year ahead! I'll be cheering you on :-)!

ReadWriteSingChrissyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07841483739221560253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4585617448539291782.post-84546925198813282682011-05-18T11:59:48.665-05:002011-05-18T11:59:48.665-05:00Stephanie, that is terrific, I will have to use th...Stephanie, that is terrific, I will have to use that too!
Laura, I would love to hear about your ideas for early-finishers, I always have trouble with that one!
Thanks to you both for sharing!Mrs. Degeohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02621626289709586048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4585617448539291782.post-4013781341706976442011-05-11T20:25:19.877-05:002011-05-11T20:25:19.877-05:00LOVE the indoor recess ideas! I have all the areas they can pick including an option to bring your own toy. Then I let students pick which center to start by who hasn't got their traffic light moved (behavior chart), who brought their homework, who brought their level book and then by tables. This makes recess become as a reward as well, it's great!Peterson's Primary Peepshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08060307743221143847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4585617448539291782.post-54761978500990794982011-05-11T18:32:38.006-05:002011-05-11T18:32:38.006-05:00Love that idea too, Stephanie! I put a huge piece of butcher paper on the floor and at least half of my class is working on it every time.
